City of Playford - New Learning Opportunities for Young People This project will extend the City of Playford mobile library service to pre-schools and primary schools, commencing in the Peachey Belt and then more widely across the City/region. It will include computers and internet services to give students and parents access to literacy software and global information. $71,500
The Smith Family - Learning for Life Scholarship Programme The project will deliver the Smith Family's Learning for Life Scholarship programme to an additional 235 students in the Playford/Salisbury area. The Learning for Life strategy seeks to break the cycle of poverty by assisting students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to remain within an educational institution to develop the learning and life skills to successfully access employment. $113,960
University of South Australia - Peer Tutoring This project aims to improve the tertiary education participation rate of the region's students, particularly in the science, engineering and IT areas. $133,100
Electronics Industry Association - Northern Industry Education & Employment Partnership (NIEEP) This project proposes establishing an institute to develop education and employment pathways into the electronics, automotive and other advanced manufacturing industries which are a key part of the Playford/Salisbury region's economy. $325,323
South Australian Research and Development Institute (SAR&DI) - Revegetation By Design Project The project aims to increase the level of native vegetation across the Playford/Salisbury region, leading to greater biodiversity, reduced use of aggressive pest control methods, increased long-term sustainability of the land itself, and improved economic returns for land holders and the region as a whole. The project involves a sound scientifically based research component for the identification of the most efficient and effective revegetation and pest control strategies, followed by a significant community and tertiary education component. $511,383
The City of Playford - Value Adding Adelaide Plains This project will integrate research with product development to direct investment in production methods and advances in new and sustainable technologies in the Adelaide Plains region. $336,600
The City of Playford - Northern Sound System This project will generate a Community Music Centre for music and performing arts skills training and a museum of contemporary popular Australian music. $161,700
The City of Salisbury - Northern Innovation System Existing enterprises will develop new technology-based products and services. It will do this by transferring information between research and development and industry, through facilitating commercialisation of new products into export markets and by initiating collaborative networks. $431,904
The City of Playford - Adams Creek/Edinburgh Parks Flood Mitigation and Stormwater Re-use Project This project will construct an Aquifer Storage and recovery system that will manage flood waters across a major industrial precinct and allow for the reuse of water by the community and by industry, beautifying the area and reducing the reliance on the River Murray. $1,320,000
Regency Institute of TAFE Elizabeth Campus - The Mayor's Community Leaders Project The project will develop emerging and existing leaders in the Playford and Salisbury communities through mentoring, up-skilling and a broadening of their general knowledge of community and economic development. This will enable community leaders to take a role in driving local solutions to local issues. $286,590
The University of South Australia - The Northern Adelaide Health and Wellbeing Project The project will increase the community's access to a wide range of health care services in northern Adelaide by increasing the number of university health science students that are placed across the region. The students will provide the community with a range of community health services under the supervision of University lecturers. $397,100
The City of Playford - The Elizabeth West Industrial Precinct Advanced Technology CAD/CAM Project The project aims to establish a regional CAD/CAM centre where small to medium enterprises can gain access to world class design software with ongoing technical support and training, through an "Australian first" licensing agreement.  The project will also provide access to CAD/CAM software for the region's tertiary institutions and basic software for secondary schools, aiding education and training in advanced technology for careers in IT, engineering and trades. $690,250
Edinburgh Parks South Water Harvest and Reuse Project This project will build a stormwater harvesting, storage and distribution system with an initial capacity of 760 megalitres per annum and further expansion capability, combining stormwater management for flood mitigation with water harvesting for use by local industry and community facilities. $1,100,000
Wyatt Road Redevelopment Project This project will construct a 1200 metre section of Wyatt road connecting it to main arterial roads, to the Port of Adelaide and north of the state. $1,100,000
Northern Advanced Manufacturing Industry Group NAMIG will develop programmes and projects to assist Northern Area secondary schools. $1,023,733
Northern Adelaide Waste Management Authority CARE project The project is an enterprising initiative that will establish a facility to manage the recovery and re-use of resources that may have been previously disposed to landfill. $111,298
Womens and Children Hospital Human Race Project This project aims to promote participation in regular physical activity, and teach students about lifestyle, activity, eating and health.  The project will promote the use of an existing online programme, and will also help to educate students in IT literacy, goal setting and personal development. $421,190
Value Adding Adelaide Plains - Stage 2 The project will assist companies to develop the new market and product opportunities in the horticulture, viticulture and food-related industries in Virginia and the Northern Adelaide Plains. $460,900
Northern Sound System - Stage 2 The project involves the construction of a community music centre in the City of Playford consisting of: a performance venue for approx 200 people; recording/rehearsal space; practice rooms; music training facilities and programmes; and multimedia digital technologies. $1,430,000
Boatdeck Interpretive Centre Involves the relocation of the former boat deck cafe at Mawson Lakes to the nearby Greenfields Wetlands to establish the Boatdeck Interpretive Centre.  The aim is to raise public and community awareness about the challenge of preserving water for the future and further reinforce the programme of community education from Waterwatch, Watersmart and the Pollution Protection Programme. $412,500
Pooraka Unity BMX Clubrooms and track Involves the construction of an International class BMX facility for use by local youth and club members.  The track will be open to both club members and non members for both pleasure and competition purposes. $330,000
Boystown This project will establish a fully operational training, employment and enterprise service centre to give disadvantaged youth in the region pre-vocational education and skills to enable them to better access employment opportunities. $665,325
Early Childhood Literacy @round the Region The project aims to improve early childhood literacy opportunities across Playford/Salisbury.  The project will adopt a four stage approach, focusing on the development of: early childhood resources; a regional Lapsit programme; a community education and train-the-trainer programme; and a relevant evaluation framework. $163,350
