Herberton Shire Council - Mountains Institute Funds to support the upgrade of facilities at the Mountains Institute Conference and Training Centre. $31,400
JW & DL Coleman - Uramo Station Funding will be used to expand a grain growing enterprise for supplementary stock feed in the Innot Springs region of the Atherton Tablelands. $65,000
River of Gold Slate Mine Pty Ltd - marketing plan Funding is granted to develop a business and marketing plan for River of Gold's floor paving products. The mine has recently patented a paving product that reduces the costs associated with laying the slate. $15,000
Eacham Shire Council - Harold West Walk The Harold West Walk is an important restoration and beautification project in the small town of Milla Milla. The project is organised by a local volunteer group of residents (Harold West Walk Committee) and supported by the Eacham Shire Council. $13,950
Ecobiotics Ltd - facility expansion Ecobiotics is an emerging company in the region specialising in biodiscovery of new rainforest extracts for the development of pharmaceutical and agrochemical products. The company is involved in the research and development stage as well as commercialisation of the end-product. Funding is primarily for facility expansion including office space, laboratories, and communication and testing facilities. $105,000
Lake Tinaroo Foreshore Development - Atherton Shire Council This project will foster employment and economic growth on the Atherton Tablelands through the revitalisation of tourist facilities at Lake Tinaroo. The lake is a recreational tourist attraction in its own right and the catalyst for other tourist activities. The Lake Tinaroo Foreshore Redevelopment Project includes construction of a beach and jetty park, Kalorama Street foreshore development, main picnic area and a boat launching peninsula. $828,795
Geographical Information Systems implementation - Atherton Shire Council This project will enable local governments, businesses, organisations and individuals to better understand the region and stimulate growth in investment, trade and the regional economy through electronic collection and manipulation of data. Training to use the data collected will be provided to teachers, students and interested community members. $1,603,540
Mareeba Wetland Foundation - Mareeba Wetlands The project proposes to create a world class safari camp which will be unique to Far North Queensland and will complement other key tourist destinations in the Tablelands. Funding will contribute to the completion of stage one of the project, which involves developing safari camp infrastructure and marketing capacity. $250,000
Innesfree Pty Ltd - Kalamunda Eco-Stay The project will enhance the scope and scale of the region's accommodation industry by providing eco-tourism based accommodation for backpacker and self drive markets. It will also provide budget accommodation for seasonal fruit pickers and offer introductory training packages to the working holidaymaker. $150,000
Herberton Shire Council - Great Northern Mine Funding will support construction and fitout of a tourism and heritage building in the mine site precinct. $253,000
David Gill - Mareeba Wild Animal Park The project involves the construction and improvement of infrastructure at the Mareeba Wild Animal Park located between Kuranda and Mareeba. $491,900
CosRock Pty Ltd-Potato Grading and Washing Facility This project will establish an export quality potato grading & washing facility near Atherton. CosRock is a joint partnership between a local transport company RockTrans Pty Ltd, & the Geelong based produce company Costas Pty Ltd. $555,612
Swanwood Pty Ltd Mungalli Falls Funding will contribute to a two-stage redevelopment of accommodation & facilities at Mungalli Falls student education & outdoor adventure centre. Mungalli Falls plan to pursue new & emerging business opportunities such as enticing corporate groups & youth tour groups to the region. $443,000
G & M Barletta - The Atherton Hotel Project funding for stage two will support the construction of ten four-star hotel rooms with business facilities, a 350 seat function room and stage and a 50 seat conference facility. $500,000
Barron Bella Farms Pty Ltd - Northqual Produce Funding will assist upgrade to existing value adding plant. $275,000
Cairns Marble (Australia) Pty Ltd This project will increase the capacity of Cairns Marble's minesite and expand its processing facilities in Chillagoe (west of Mareeba) and Cairns. Funding will support the purchase of capital machinery associated with the expansion. $410,000
Southedge Seeds Pty Ltd The project involves capitalising on a recent state of the art seed engineering and enhancement procedure developed by Southedge Seeds. Funding will be spent on construction and equipment associated with the new development. $673,000
Mount Uncle Distillery - Expansion project Expansion of the Mount Uncle Distillery including the construction of an enclosure for the preparation area and a storage and dispatch area. $53,800
NQ Co-Op Ltd - Sustainable Bio-Industrial Farming Systems Implementation Strategy Preparation of an Action Plan for incorporating the region's agricultural producers to a new method of farming. The project builds on an earlier research paper that identified the benefits to the region of adopting integrated sustainable bio-industrial farming. $142,000

The Australian Coffee Centre The purpose of the Australian Coffee Centre will be to entertain and educate visitors with interactive coffee tasting, guided tours of the coffee plantation and scenic walking trails. $468,250

Mareeba Shire Airport - Mareeba Shire Council The Activity is to develop additional land and facilities in the south west corner of the Mareeba airport including 800m of bitumen road, connection of water and power to the site and fencing. $385,000
Regional Signage Project - Herberton Shire Council To implement key strategies outlined in the Regional Tourism Strategy (SRP funded project 2003). An identified gap for tourism development and expansion in the region is that of regional directional and interpretive signage. $242,000

Clonal Solutions To further develop and upgrade plant cloning facilities for CSA Pty Ltd to allow the company to enter into full-scale commercial mass production of cloned eucalypts, and other commercially viable plant species for a range of major timber and agricultural industry clients. $583,000
Gecko Lodge Gecko Lodge provides affordable accommodation and life and work skills for marginalised people within the Atherton Tablelands Sustainable Region. The project will involve assisting the operator to upgrade the Lodge in order to better provide life skills training, assistance in finding employment and general assistance to make the transition back into society. $220,000
Morganbury Meats The Morganbury/Tableland Meat Co Joint Venture will be funded to assist build a facility to process and package locally produced pork and beef products, providing an alternative market for regional livestock producers as well as further establishing local Atherton Tablelands meat brands. $110,000
Rotocult Project funding will assist in the construction of a purpose built facility which will be the Head Office for the manufacture, marketing and research and development of the Rotocult cultivation system in Atherton. $1,375,000
Mareeba Softwoods Project funding will assist in the construction and fit out of a high tech, small log, softwood sawmill in Mareeba. $2,420,000
Gallo Farms Project funding will assist in the establishment of an integrated educational dairy farm experience to provide visitors with the opportunity to view a fully operational dairy, interact with animals and sample and purchase local cheese and chocolate products. $495,000
